Special Inspections & Materials Testing (SIMT) is a Materials Testing company that is licensed
and acknowledged by the Philadelphia Department of License & Inspections as a Special Inspection Agency.
SIMT is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) by the Eastern Minority
Supplier Development Council.
Special Inspections, which include testing construction materials and monitoring their installation, are
required by the International Building Code to provide quality assurance in construction and demolition projects.
We offer a wide range of professional services such as Special Inspections, Professional Engineering,
Expert Testimony, Quality Assurance and Field & Laboratory Testing of construction materials in
accordance with recognized standards such as ACI, ASTM and AASHTO.
